Eric participated in a local tractor pull a couple weekends ago. It historically has rained at this event. Last time he entered, they stopped the event with only two tractors left to pull before him. Not a happy day. Imagine this: we drove nine hours from where we lived in western ND, he loaded up and chained down his biggest tractor and hauled it over to the grounds, we sit through a couple hours of other tractors pulling as the rain gets heavier. They finally called off the rest of the pull amid a torrential downpour. Now, he gets to load the tractor back up on the trailer in the pouring down rain. Sounds like fun to me!
This year was better. He was the first tractor to pull so we were done and out of there long before it started raining! All the kids came along and we sat with some friends.
I took a video of the actual pull so there is just this one still picture of him getting hooked up.
He was way off the track and gone before they announced his distance so that didn't get recorded. I think it was around 127 feet.
