Supprise Visit!

This Sunday afternoon Grandpa and Grandma A came down. Grandpa had a day of sitting and waiting before he could pick up a load so he came to visit us. Because he was here, Grandma had double the reason to drive down and visit too. Grandpa walked up with us to the parade in town and Grandma was here by the time we were back. I don't think Grace has ever been in the truck so before Grandpa left we had to let her sit up in it. It starts out innocently enough, here she is checking out the view from the passenger seat. Next Grandpa let her sit on his lap and try out the steering wheel.
Then he got out of the way and moved the seat up so she could try driving. Her favorite thing was the wipers. She quickly figured out how to wash and wipe the windows with the handy lever.

She also liked the shifter. She was having so much fun, she didn't want to get out when it was time for Grandpa to leave. Looks like she will be going in the truck one of these days! If I remember correctly, a couple of her aunts and uncles were younger than Grace when they first went in the truck.

Before they left Grandpa and Grandma took us all out to eat Chinese food. Grace as usual was the center of attention and made the most of it! Look at her laughing at Papa. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for coming to visit and for supper, it was so fun to see you!
