Micah helped out the other night by opening and closing the pasture gates for Eric when he went down to plant a section of beans behind the cow pasture.
Cows are down on pasture now so we don't see them as much. Eric calls them up in the evening for feed and they all come running up the pasture lane. My friendly heifer, Blosssom, is still somewhat friendly. She likes attention and seems to enjoy getting her head scratched.
The calving rush is over for now, we ended up with eight or nine calves total. Mildred's little red heifer is so cute and tiny, we named her Milly.
We spent the weekend working on the yard. Micah and I mowed Saturday and Sunday so we should be caught up until we get a good rain.
Pigglets are growing fatter every day! The group of big pigs will go to butcher in about a week then all we will have is the ten little ones. How cute is that little, furry face?
