JJ just looked so cute this Sunday. He needed more pants so we picked up a couple pairs last week. He insisted on one size too small. Why? I'm not sure. Also, they turned out to be skinny legged. I think the whole outfit made him look taller.
Micah seems to love these red pants, he chooses them whenever they are in his drawer. Also, they match his shoes, which I think he likes.
The kids went to 4H Project day after church yesterday. There wasn't a lot of time between church and 4H so I packed a lunch and we ate a picnic in the car after church. It was just so cold and muddy, we couldn't eat outside anywhere. We folded down the back seats and spread out a blanket to sit on and eat. After lunch there was still some time so I told them it would be a great opportunity to take a little nap! It didn't work out very well. There isn't really room for all three to lay down in the back and both Grace and Micah are way too long. It worked for a little while. I read them a story to distract them from bothering each other.
They all had fun at 4H Project day. Micah is in the youngest age group so they did a pre determined set of activities and games. He did something with fossils and made a dinosaur hat. Grace is in the other age group so she was able to choose three projects to learn more about. She chose: diamond embroidery, pie baking and needlework crafts. She just loves crafts so all of it was right up her alley. For needlework crafts, she learned how to knit a scarf using her arms instead of knitting needles. The knitting was probably her favorite activity of the day.
Saturday night, Grace and Eric went to a daddy/daughter ball put on by a local town's royalty. We had fun trying on dresses and making her hair look pretty. Papa ended up having to work but someone was able to finish out his day of truck driving for him so he could race home and take Grace to the dance.
They seemed to have a great time. There were a lot of girls there from Grace's class and she danced the whole time. Eric even had a few friends there too!
