Christmas

We celebrated Christmas and opened gifts four different places this year, it was a whirlwind of Christmas fun!  It started the night of the 23rd with the kids each opening one gift at our house.  They all got toy guns.

On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house to celebrate with them and three of my siblings.  Among other things, all four little boys got boxing gloves that make realistic sounds when they are punched.  Needless to say, my boys loved their "punchers."  Grace has been begging for a tablet but we are not interested in purchasing a several hundred dollar electronic toy for our five year old.  She got a version of a tablet from my parents.  Basically it is an electronic note pad that you write on with a stylus.  The drawings you make can not be saved and it is not wireless or anything, it has one button that erases what you write.  She absolutely loves it and carries it everywhere.  Well done mom and dad!

Christmas morning we opened gifts at our house.  As you can see, JJ got an Iron Man mask.  Micah got one too, which he wore for the rest of the day.

After noon, we hopped in the car and drove down to Eric's parents.  The kids opened their presents from grandpa and grandma there.  We left all three kids and headed back to pick up a load of hay from some friend's.  Then it was three days of me alone without the kids.  I didn't get as much done as I had imagined but it was nice to have the house to myself for a couple of days.

Christmas finished up on Saturday the 28th at Eric's sister's house.  More presents, more food, more cousins.  We had a fun week but I am glad it only comes around once a year!
