Last Sunday was so nice we just had to get out of the house. Eric had the day off and some friends from church invited us out to the local national park. It was probably the best day we have had since coming out this time. Lunch was nice, I love potluck picnics, all the macaroni salad and chips you can eat! But after lunch is when the real fun started. It was so nice out that we just could not turn around and go back to town. Part of the road through the park was closed when we moved out here and just opened up this winter. Eric had never been all the way out to the end of the park so we took a drive out there. The scenery was so beautiful and a lot of animals were out and about. We climbed rocks and cliffs with the kids. It was so fun to spend a day with Eric and the kids away from the house.
One of the pictures is taken from a scenic outlook. We could see three buffalo grazing on the grass down in a little valley. Eric estimated they were about a mile away
LOVE LOVE LOVE macaroni salad. I am so sad because Will has a dairy intolerance and I can't eat the recipe that we love. But the chips are good too :-)
