Back to the trip, we started out early so we could try to get to Grandpa's by noon. Here is Meemah all ready to go! He was pretty good, he slept almost the entire trip just waking up as we drove into town.

Grace was excited to go too. She is getting older now so she does not sleep the whole time we drive. She enjoyed some treats and water for about the first hour of the drive then slept for almost two hours. It would have been better for everyone if she had slept for the last two hours instead. She was not as excited about riding in the car by the time we left the interstate with an hour of driving left. Too bad she was not born back in the good old days when kids just ran around in the car and didn't have to be strapped into a car seat!

We stopped to see my Dad's dad first. Mom made one of my favorite meals: meatloaf, baked potatoes and scalloped corn. Mmmmm smells like home! Dad, Abu and Eric went out to the farm to look for some things after dinner. They said they would be gone for just a little while, yah right! Good thing they didn't run over there before dinner like they were going to, it was over an hour before they got back. It was not a big deal though, Eric loves to look through the junk at the farm.
Later in the afternoon my mom's parents got back from Thanksgiving at my aunt's house so we went over to see them too. I worked for grandma during the summers from the time I was thirteen thru twenty before they moved into town. It is always fun to get out to see them.
Uncle Abu was there to entertain Grace. Or maybe Gracie was there to entertain Abu!
Of course we had to have "a little light lunch". A little lunch to my grandma is a full meat to most people. Grandpa was very concerned that we didn't get enough to eat. Dad and Abu finished up working on Grandpa's roof and came over to eat with us.

We drove from Grandpa and Grandma's house to my parents to spend the night. I was so careful to take pictures all weekend and was so proud of myself that I didn't leave my camera in the bag. However I managed to not get pictures of my parent's at their new house. You can see my mom the pictures at Grandma's but none at home! Good job Tina.

Saturday morning Rachel and Remy came over to play for a while. Gracie and Remy got along so well! He has such a big personality. Just look at that face. Grace was too busy talking on Grandma's " 'hone" to look at the camera.
Remy was very interested in Meemah, he had to go make sure he was having fun in the kitchen. Just you wait Remy, he will be chasing you around next year!
My brother Eddy and his girlfriend came over that afternoon too. They had not seen Micah yet. Eddy is not really on top of that kind of thing, while they were holding the baby he asked kind of sheepishly, how old he was. He said he was not quite sure when he was born. I do not expect my eighteen year old brother to know when my kid's birthdays are, it was funny though!

Great to see pictures of your loved ones - it would be great to see Gary and Kay's new home - maybe next spring?
