Farmhouse Remodel - Upstairs Before

We are moving to a farm this summer but the house needs a little help first.  It is not structurally bad, just needs some updating.  And hot water.  And more electrical capacity.  We hit the project hard this past long weekend with the help of a couple friends.  The men got the floor torn up in the bathroom and Eric spent several hours in the crawl space/cave under there removing the old plumbing and getting the new fitted in.  I do not envy him that job at all! The worked hard on the kitchen too, moving electrical outlets, working on the plumbing there and even getting the upper cabinets installed.  I did quite a bit of painting both upstairs and down.  Almost every room needs paint.  This weekend I focused on the master bedroom and the kitchen.

For now here are a couple before pictures of the upstairs area.  There are three bedrooms and a hallway.  None of the bedrooms have closets, save a little plywood structure that was in the boy's room. Everything needs painting and both of the kid's rooms need one wall patched with sheet rock.

Below is the boy's room.  They want green for the walls.  The floor, ceiling and trim will be white.  Like Grace's room and the main floor bedroom, the paint was literally peeling off the walls.  This was someone's bedroom up until April of this year.

Here is the upstairs hall.  It will get a coat of paint and some patch work, there are holes in the wall that you can't see in this picture.

This is Grace's room.  Peely paint and wall patching needed, as usual. She picked out purple.

Behold, the master bedroom! The walls were in good shape so it is the one room that I was able to get painted this weekend.  It has a new coat of paint floor to ceiling but this is a before picture.

We still have a long way to go but I think we got off to a good start.
