Road Trip

Last weekend the kids and I decided at the last second to run up and watch one of my brother's high school football games. We left as soon as I picked them up from Grandma's Friday afternoon and made it there just as the first quarter ended. David is a senior this year and there are not going to be very many more times it will work out to watch him play. It turned out to be pretty cold that night but fortunately Rachel was overly prepared with extra hats, coats and mittens that she let my kids use. If you look really, really close you can maybe see #45, he's running around out there somewhere. Go David!

Gracie pointing out Uncle David to Remy. Look how cute they are all bundled up!

Late night + up early + too much fun with Grandma, Rachel and Remy + no nap = very tired little girl.

The little man didn't seem to have a problem staying awake. We stopped for gas a half hour into the return trip Saturday morning, he woke up then and didn't fall asleep for the rest of the trip.
Turns out this weekend may have been an even better time to go up for a game. It was senior night, Dad was home and we had record breaking warm temps. I'm glad we did go though, it was fun to see at least some of one game since it is David's last year and it has been almost two months since we were up north last and saw my family.
