Today we took Grace to her first county fair. Eric's niece Gabby showed her dairy heifer this morning so we wanted to go over to watch that, I think she got second in her division. Both Tyler and Gabby are showing beef cows tomorrow morning so we will go watch them again. Grace didn't really have an opinion of the fair. She was hungry when we got there but she does not always like the bottle so she didn't really drink it. Aunt Rena got her to go to sleep and she slept until we were almost home.
Eric is getting a tractor ready to sell at the fair so he has been working on that a lot. We picked up tin for it yesterday but the guy didn't have all the pieces he needed. He got the engine painted yesterday and set back on the frame. His buddy Randy came over this afternoon to help him get it all put back together. There is an antique tractor-pull tonight and Eric is hoping to have the tractor all together and painted in time to enter it. He really likes pulling tractors but I have noticed that tractor pulls are a good way to break you tractor. It will be a good place to show it off though, maybe someone watching will want to buy it! This is a before picture of the tractor. At that point he did have it running but there were still problems and clearly none of the paint has been done. I will post more pictures later.
